The search for a new superintendent continues for School District 57.
They are looking to replace Marilyn Marquis-Forster who submitted her resignation back in May.
Board Chair, Tim Bennett explains where the process is currently at.
“We’ll be short-listing and interviewing this fall with the hopes of having a new superintendent here ideally before Christmas break.”
In the meantime, Rod Allen has been hired on an interim basis to oversee operations within SD 57 in that role.
Bennett told MyPGNow.com the posting just went up earlier this month and states finding the proper person for the job is crucial.
“It is critical we hire the right person and doing that does take some time, and the other challenge we are up against is summer, the education world does slow down a bit and we want to make sure we are talking to people and attracting the right candidate.
The school year begins on September 4th.
