Have you experienced the supernatural in Prince George?

If you’ve been witness to a ghostly encounter, the Nechako Community Theatrics Society wants to hear it.

NCTS is beginning the search for personal and local scary stories for their production in October.

“There are several of us that really enjoy Halloween and we got to talk about doing something different,” said Laura Bennett, a Resident Director of NCTS.

Earlier in the year, the society put on a performance of The Vagina Monologues and Bennett said they got some inspiration from that for this concept.

“The way that it’s done is in first-person stories, so we thought we could build on something like that. We came up with this scary story idea, and we want to have it done in the first person. We are looking for stories from people that they have experienced personally, like brushes that they have had with the eery or the supernatural,” she said.

“We want them to be local if possible, and we just thought people would really like to hear about the weird or spooky things that have happened around Prince George.”

Bennett said the show will not be for everyone…

“This is meant to be for adults due to mature themes. We are advertising it as viewer discretion advised, not family-friendly.

If you’re a little stage shy, no need to worry, those submitting a story can choose to share it themselves or have someone share it for them.

To submit stories you can email them here, or check out their Facebook page here
