Big Squeeze Lemonade fundraiser cracks $12,000 mark

The seventh annual Big Squeeze Lemonade fundraiser in Prince George was good to the last drop.

Over 12-thousand dollars was raised last week to support mentorship programs in the northern capital.

Jane Gauthier with Big Brothers, Big Sisters told MyPGNow.com on who ended up as the top fundraisers for 2019.

“That went to AiMHi as they raised over $3,800 and then the second place was RBC and in third was Studio 2880.”

Gauthier adds a lot of people spent time in the downtown core to check out some of the participants.

“This year, we found that many people were doing a downtown loop, which was great as $12,000 for a lemonade stand is pretty amazing.”

There was a tie on the best-tasting lemonade, that honour went to the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Settings Event Design and Decor who teamed up with Blake Productions.

Tim Horton’s claimed the Best Restaurant category raising $580, edging out Mr Mikes who raised $530.
