Update: Vehicle involved in McLeod case found

UPDATE – JAN 23, 2015:

An update to a story we’ve been following.

RCMP have located a vehicle believed to belong to Jordan McLeod in Vanderhoof – a grey Chrysler 200.

Police continue to search for McLeod and the burgundy Chevrolet Malibu with a very distinctive ‘Quality Assured Collision and Glass’ decal on both sides of the vehicle.

If you see either McLeod or that vehicle, you are asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.

Original version, JAN 22, 2015:

Prince George RCMP believes a recent missing persons investigation is linked to a shots fired call they received last week.

On January 16th at about 11:45pm, RCMP received a call of ‘shots fired’ in the area on Upper Fraser Road near Highway 16. Crime scene evidence suggested someone was hit; however no victim or suspect was located.

Then on January 19th, 24 year old Jordan McLeod was reported missing. He was last seen in Prince George and Vanderhoof on the 16th. McLeod is believed to frequent Vanderhoof often.

“The Prince George RCMP believe that the two incident are connected” says Corporal Craig Douglas media liaison “Serious crime investigators are asking the public’s help in locating the vehicle Jordan was believed to of been driving last Friday, a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu”

The Malibu has ‘Quality Assured Collision and Glass” decals on both doors and has a license plate number 163 RNA. Police are also looking for a 2013 grey Chrysler 200 with the license plate 639 RVV. The Chrysler is registered in Vanderhoof but was last seen in Quesnel on January 8th.

Jordan himself is described as:

• First Nations male
• 178 cm (5’10”)
• 70 kg (154 lbs)
• Short brown hair
• Brown eyes

RCMP say they have had contact with Jordan in the past.

“Nobody has heard from Jordan since Friday, that worries us, but there is definitely a chance he doesn’t want to be found.” said Craig Douglas

Police say the public should keep an eye out for Jordan or the two vehicles especially on back roads around Prince George, Vanderhoof or Quesnel. The police say the public is not at risk, but if you see either vehicle do not approach and call 911.
