RCMP search warrant finds several stolen vehicles near Nukko Lake

Dozens of items confirmed or thought to be stolen have been seized as part of a property crime investigation at an acreage just outside of Prince George.

On Monday morning, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a stolen Dodge pick-up truck from a residence on Riverview Road. Police state that the theft happened sometime overnight.

Through investigation, frontline officers with the Prince George RCMP obtained a search warrant for a property on Moldowan Cutoff Road, north of Nukko Lake, approximately 30 minutes northwest of Prince George. During the search of the large property, officers located and seized many items including:

  • 7 stolen vehicles (including the stolen pick-up from September 9)
  • 5 ATVs (two confirmed stolen)
  • 1 dirt bike
  • 1 snow blade
  • 8 generators
  • 2 compressors
  • 1 propane heater
  • 1 tidy tank
  • 5 loaded firearms
  • Ammunition
  • 1 crossbow
  • Many power tools
  • A number of chain saws

All of these items are confirmed or believed to have been stolen. One of the vehicles had been stolen from Vanderhoof and one from Quesnel. Efforts to identify the property owners are underway.

The RCMP are reporting that six individuals that were associated with the property have been arrested.

Police indicate that the investigation is in its early stages and additional information may be provided as the case unravels.
