Chamber of Commerce unveils finalists for Business Excellence Awards

The stage is now set for the 34th annual Business Excellence Awards hosted by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce on October 18th.

Forty-eight finalists have been announced for this year’s event at the Prince George Playhouse, which spans 12 different categories.

Chamber CEO, Todd Corrigall told MyPGNow.com the public support shown for all the nominees was nothing short of fantastic.

“This was the highest amount of nominees that we have ever had for the Business Excellence Award nearing 400 total nominations, which is absolutely astounding since there were 12 categories.”

So what is most responsible for the large wave of nominations?

“I think that is also reflected in new businesses and people paying much more attention to local businesses now.”

“It is people who are paying much more attention to local businesses that are here and out doing things in the community and who is really shaping the community that we are and what we’re moving towards. I think that’s really important because people are recognizing the strong work and the leadership and the hard work these business owners are putting into it.”
