This Could Be It: Red Green makes farewell stop in Prince George

For 15 years, husbands sat chuckling at his logic while wives rolled their eyes in disgust.

That handyman-style of comedy will be landing in Prince George today (Thursday) as a stop on Red Green’s ‘This Could Be It’ nation-wide tour.

The Red Green Show aired from 1991 to 2006, winning one Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Comedy Program in 1998. Overall, the show received 23 nominations during its run.

In an interview with MyPGNow, Steve Smith, aka Uncle Red, said the tour will act as a final farewell.

“It’s called ‘This Could Be It’ for a reason,” Smith said. “It wraps things up. It’s a goodbye and a thank you all kind of rolled into one. There’s nothing sombre or macabre. I don’t have some terminal illness. I’m just out there thinking it’s time now to go, let’s not wait until I’m losing it… if I ever did actually have it.”

Smith will be performing at Prince George’s Vanier Hall at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are still available for the event through TicketsNorth’s website.
