6th candidate enters as Independent for Cariboo-Prince George

Michael Orr is no stranger to politics.

After running as an independent for the Cariboo-Prince George riding back in 2014, Orr is back campaigning ahead of the October 21 election.

Elections Canada’s website confirms there are now six candidates running. Including Orr, Conservative incumbent Todd Doherty, Liberal Tracy Calogheros, New Democrat Heather Sapergia, Green Party candidate Mackenzie Kerr, and People’s Party of Canada candidate Jing Lan Yang are all confirmed candidates.

In the Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies riding, the confirmed candidates are Conservative incumbent Bob Zimmer, Liberal Mavis Erickson, New Democrat Marcia Luccock, Green Party candidate Catharine Kendall, and People’s Party of Canada candidate Ron Vaillant.

Orr was not present during last night’s debate at Trinity United Church in Prince George. MyPGNow has yet to be able to confirm whether he will be included in next week’s debates put on by the Chamber of Commerce.
