Investigators thank public for identifying persons of interest in homicide

Police have identified two persons of interest in the recent homicide of 35-year-old Gregory Gareth Wale.

As a result of a request made by the Prince George RCMP, investigators received a number of tips from the public. On Friday, Oct. 11, both persons attended the local detachment at separate times and presented themselves to police.

Search warrants were obtained for a residence and vehicle associated with one of the persons of interest, who is now considered a suspect. The other person of interest has been cleared of any involvement in the death.

The suspect has been released pending further investigation and analysis of evidence. Although charges have yet to be laid, the investigation is continuing.

Due to the investigation still ongoing and charges yet to be laid, the identity of the suspect will not be made public.
