Camping reservations open Tuesday

Outdoor enthusiasts can start planning for another season of camping; BC Parks reservations open this week.

Beginning at 7am Tuesday, March 15, 2016, Discover Camping will begin accepting reservations for most campgrounds.

“The three month window is in place for our front country reservations, and what that means starting March 15th, you can make reservations starting any time at June 15th or later.” Natalie Dechane with BC Parks said

She says long weekend are consistently the busiest days of the year for them.

“If you are looking for a spot on the May long weekend for example you can start booking on March 15th. However you have to wait three months in advance of your arrival date for the July, August and Labour Day long weekends.”

New this year, two small rustic trapper’s cabins in Wells Gray Provincial Park are now reservable

Groups can also now book picnic spots at Summit Lake, Ten Mile Lake, Lac La Hache and Green Lake provincial parks.

You can book online here. Or call 1-800-689-9025 for the booking call centre.
