Fire on Norwood Street ends in $20,000 worth of damages

Prince George Fire Rescue was called to a structure fire along the 2100 block of Norwood Street this morning.

At approximately 10:47, crews from four halls arrived at an older single-wide modular home with smoke and fire coming from the right read side.

Fire crews made a fast offensive attack and were able to knock the fire down quickly, however, the fire had spread under the structure and into the floor joists.

Four occupants were home at the time of the incident, they managed to evacuate quickly and call 911.

According to Fire personnel, there were no injuries at this incident.

Damage is estimated at $ 20,000.00.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
