Pedestrian with critical injuries following motor vehicle collision

One person was sent to the hospital following a pedestrian-involved collision.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, the Prince George RCMP received a report that a pedestrian was involved in a motor vehicle collision on Patricia Boulevard, just east of Victoria Street in Prince George.

Frontline officers attended and located a single adult female suffering from injuries after being struck by a Honda Civic. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries. The driver remained on scene.

Investigators spoke to several witnesses and remained on scene as they gathered evidence for most of the evening. The vehicle was seized and will be examined.

The pedestrian was wearing all black clothing and attempted to cross between intersections at the time the collision occurred. At the time, it was dark and raining heavily. Police believe that speed was not a factor.

The investigation is continuing.
