UPDATE: Fire at Buckhorn Lake Road

Update (12:09):

Crews are still mopping up a structure fire on Buckhorn Lake Road.

According to Renee McCloskey, Manager of External Relations with the District of Fraser Fort-George, the Buckhorn Lake Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene at 7:21 this morning.

Three other halls, the Ferndale/Tabor VFD, Red Rock VFD, and Pineview VFD all attended as well. A total of seven fire apparatus were on scene.

McCloskey was not able to give any further information yet on damage assessment, cause, or injuries as of this time.

Fire crews are attending a blaze on a residential property on Buckhorn Lake Road this morning.

As of this publication, the fire department has not responded to our request for an interview, but we will be updating with more information as it becomes available.

City Council orders nuisance activities stop at Quentin Avenue property

Prince George City Council took action to address a nuisance property at tonight's (Monday) meeting. According to a staff report to Council, the property, located at 4235 Quentin Avenue, has been the subject of 25 calls for service from Bylaw Services, as well as 19 visits from the RCMP since July 2024.
