Alaska calling; Spruce Kings overage forward locks up NCAA commitment

Chong Min Lee has will suit up for the University of Alaska Anchorage in the NCAA next season.

The announcement was made official today by the Prince George Spruce Kings.

“We are very excited about Chong Min’s commitment to the University of Alaska Anchroage,” says Spruce Kings head coach Alex Evin.

“Chong Min continues to improve his on-ice play every season through diligent work on and off the ice. His work ethic, leadership, and skill is a pleasure to be around. As an organization, we are so proud of his opportunity at the next level and look forward to tracking his future success,” added Evin.

Lee currently is tied for the team lead in goals this season and is second in points.

The Spruce Kings assistant captain is currently in his third season.

In 129 career BCHL games, Lee has 59 points.

The Spruce Kings hit the ice tomorrow night against the Surrey Eagles at the South Surrey Arena.
