Local man arrested in garage break and enter

An early morning break-in has put one man in police custody.

At around 2:30 a.m. RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a garage on Johnson Street after an alarm was triggered.

Officers attended the scene and attempted to clear the garage, where they found a man hiding under a vehicle. RCMP said he attempted to run, but was unsuccessful in the escape plan and instead taken into custody.

Jeffrey Nik Krafczyk, a 39 year old Prince George man, has been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Break & enter with intent
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Resist arrest
  • Fail to comply with Recognizance (2 counts)

The charges of fail to comply with Recognizance are in relation to a previous investigation where Krafczyk has been charged.  Krafczyk was held in custody and will appear in court later today (Tues).
