Prince George RCMP continues to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that took place yesterday (Monday) just before 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 16.
According to police, frontline officers and other emergency services attended the scene.
A 49-year-old male pedestrian was found suffering from serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Evidence from the scene and multiple witness accounts indicate that the driver of an SUV style vehicle was travelling westbound on Highway 16 on a green light, at the time of the collision.
RCMP are urging all road users to be cautious when travelling on or near our roadways.
