UPDATE: UNBC has provided a statement clarifying the arbitrator selection process.

Despite the UNBC Faculty Association officially ceasing job action last month, some of the issues that resulted in the strike remain ongoing.
On December 17th, UNBC indicated that both the Faculty Association and the university’s administration must agree to a third-party arbitrator by Jan. 3rd.
“Unfortunately, we are still waiting for confirmation of the arbitrator and date, despite the fact that both parties agreed it would be done by Jan 3rd,” explained UNBC Faculty Association President Stephen Rader.
“We probably won’t have a decision for a couple of months,” Rader added.
There is currently no set date for a resolution.
UNBC has not yet replied to requests for a statement.
