PG one of seven B.C. locations to host prostate cancer exercise group

A UBC-backed research study is bringing a prostate cancer exercise group to Prince George, starting February 17th.

The group is part of a larger provincial initiative to create sustainable exercise programs for those with prostate cancer in B.C.

Prince George will be one of seven locations to host the group and will be the only one in Northern B.C.

It focuses mostly on strength development through resistance-based exercise.

UBC researchers seek to gather feedback from attendees to adjust the program and bring it to other areas of the province.

The program runs for 12-weeks, with one two hour session each week.
