PG RCMP provide final numbers in successful campaign against impaired drivers

RCMP’s annual holiday CounterAttack program has come to an end.

The campaign selectively targeted impaired drivers from December 6th through January 1st.

In a combination of static stops and roving patrols, RCMP caught:

  • 34 impaired drivers, including two criminal code violations
  • 16 prohibited or suspended drivers
  • 19 other suspensions

Additionally, a total of 58 vehicles were impounded, including Immediate Roadside Prohibitions.

Prince George RCMP reported that, although a vast majority of drivers exercise good judgement, they will continue to address impaired driving within the city.
