UPDATE: Highway 97 crash at Northwood Pulpmill and Blueberry CLEARED

A major accident at Northwood Pulpmill and Blueberry Road has been cleared.

One person was taken to hospital, but the extent of injuries are unknown.

Emergency services are responding to a major accident at Highway 97 at Northwood and Pulpmill Road.

According to a witness, the crash involved a passenger vehicle and a logging truck.

It happened at approximately 11 am, with one person taken to hospital.

Highway 97 northbound is blocked completely, and traffic is down to one lane.

Drivers are being asked to detour through Northwood Pulp Road to Noranda Road East.
