‘Suspicious’ structure fire on Milburn Avenue, no injuries

Prince George Fire Rescue responded to 1555 Milburn Avenue for a structure fire at 8:18 am this morning (Monday).

Upon arriving on scene, it was discovered that the building on fire was the Community Garden Building located at the address.

The building was of heavy timber construction with outside dimensions of 20ft X 25ft.

Crews were able to quickly get control of the blaze, keeping all damage to the initial structure, and protecting all exposures around the involved building.

According to Assistant Chief Woodhouse, a dollar estimate is not currently available, due to the unique construction of the Community Garden Building.

No injuries were reported though the investigation is ongoing, and the fire being treated as suspicious.
