2 for 1: Judy Russell Presents and Theatre NorthWest to host joint auditions

Theatre NorthWest is looking for young women for their November/December musical production, while Judy Russell Presents is looking for rock opera and musical theatre artists of all ages and genders for their 2020 productions.

The collaboration will allow performers to try out for two different roles simultaneously.

Both organizations hope that the collaboration will allow a greater variety of artists to be considered for various production positions and performance roles.

“I think that people who are involved with community theatre might think that the professional theatre is unattainable, and we don’t want it to be like that. Sometimes people that are only thinking in terms of being in professional theatre might need to know that community theatre gives them extremely good options,” Judy Russell explained.

“It gives artists a wide variety of experiences, and it gives them an opportunity to work with multiple teams,” said Marnie Hamagami, General Manager of Theatre NorthWest.

Auditions will be held at:

  • Enchainement Dance Centre on March 6th, from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M.
  • Theatre NorthWest on March 7th, from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M.
  • The Prince George Playhouse on March 8th, from 1 P.M to 5 P.M.

Anyone interested is encouraged to bring a headshot and resume, prepare 16 bars of a song, and be ready to both move and read.
