Following Uride denial, Northern BC still waiting for first major ride-hailing company

The Passenger Transportation Board has yet to approve a major ride-hailing company for the North-Central region of British Columbia.

Canadian ride-sharing company Uride was denied permission to operate in all regions they applied for, including the North.

Uride’s founder, Cody Ruberto, “remains optimistic”, and says the organization intends to submit a new application after addressing some of the Transportation Board’s concerns.

One company, Coastal Rides, was approved although it does not appear they intend to operate in the area.

A final organization applied for the North, My Limo Ride, but was also denied.

The full decision can be viewed online.
