Shoppers Drug Mart implementing hours for seniors in PG

Shoppers Drug Mart is dedicating its first hour of shopping to customers who require assistance including seniors and people living with disabilities.

The initiative is being done across all stores in Canada.

During the opening hour, the 20% Seniors Day discount will be offered on regular priced items.

There are four Shoppers locations in Prince George including the Pine Centre Mall, College Heights Plaza (Domano Boulevard), Spruceland Mall (693 Central Street West) and 6760 Madill Road (The Hart).

Here is a statement from Catherine Thomas, Senior Director, External Communications (Loblaws):

Most of our close to 2,500 stores (including grocery and Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies) across the country will be offering early, dedicated hours for those who are most vulnerable, including seniors and those living with disabilities. The stores may execute it differently at the local level (some are opening earlier a few days a week, some are dedicating the first hour of regular shopping time) so we’re asking customers to contact their local store for more information.
