Thousands pack downtown for Alan Doyle

Thousands gathered downtown at Canada Games Plaza for Alan Doyle’s concert, Sunday night.

The singer best known as front man for Great Big Sea is one of the many nightly concerts going on for the Cold Snap festival in conjunction with the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

Doyle called it “The biggest kitchen party Northern BC has ever seen.”

Each show is capped off with some quick fireworks.

There are more rock concerts tonight at the BCLC stage; Rachelle Van Zanten is up at 5:30 P.M. and then Harpoonist & the Axe Murderer at 8:00 P.M..
