Father of Legebokoff victim reacts to appeal

The father to one of Cody Legebokoff’s victims say its in his right to ask for an appeal.

This comes after the convicted killer filed for an appeal in his 2014 court case last week.

Doug Leslie, whose daughter Loren was one of Legebokoff’s victims, says he wasn’t surprise the 24 year old made the move.

“That’s the right of anybody, and of course him with the position that he’s in, that’s exactly what he has to do,” says Leslie, “regardless about what we think about him.”

Leslie says that a three judge tribunal will be making the decision of whether or not to grant Legebokoff the appeal.

Legebokoff is focusing on his failed attempt to change the location of the trial as the basis of his appeal.
