Canada Games Vet says Winter Games are impressing thus far

One UNBC Alumna turned Winter Games Volunteer is thrilled with the way these games are turning out.

Tuppy Hoehn grew up cross country skiing, was a biathlete in the 1991 Canada Winter Games, and also competed in the 1998 Nagano Olympics.

Shes taken on roles on the Host Society Board and is the lead of the Athletes Approved Advisory Group, and says the Canadian Olympic committee and Canada Games Council are impressed with what they’ve seen from PG so far:

“You could see that members of those committees were so impressed, not just by the physical infrastructure that we have put in place but the energy level and how happy everybody is and how welcoming all those volunteers are, so it’s an amazing feeling its really similar to what you would feel in an Olympic Games”

Hoehn re-iterated that these games are a chance for Prince George to show the rest of the country its exceptional sport culture and hospitality.
