The YMCA of Northern BC has begun to offer a more diverse range of courses following temporary facility closures across the region.

YMCA at Home was launched as a free virtual program, allowing people to participate in online fitness classes, children’s programs, and other personal wellness resources.

The latest in the new offerings? An online gym class to help teachers deliver fitness education to students stuck at home.

Designed to work alongside physical education course curriculum, the program will be available for schools to use for free.

YMCA’s Gym Classes, instructed by certified fitness coaches, look to bridge the gap between YMCA facilities and people’s homes.

Virtual programs will run until YMCA facilities are able to re-open, and require no equipment other than basic household items.
