Local business owners give mixed reviews over Canada Games increases

Local businesses gave mixed reviews when it came to business generated by the games.

Tara Eagleson is with Coaches Corner sports pub, and says they’ve seen increases:

“Its been very busy and fun and there has been lots of new faces, its been very very constant”

Manager of Kelly O’Bryans Darryl Colley echoed those statements, saying business as a whole has seen some growth:

“Right now I want to say somewhere between 30 and 35%, and thats an average. Theres days that may be a bit lower than that, and then there’s days that are a lot higher”

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of things, a restaurant owner on central who did not want to be named, says she took precautions and increased her staff and was not pleased with the results.
