VIA Rail’s Prince Rupert-Prince George-Jasper route to reopen in July

Good news for train buffs and tourists alike: VIA Rail has announced the Prince Rupert –  Prince George – Jasper route will be reopening sometime in July.

Although details remain sparse, VIA Rail maintains that strict sanitization measures will be taken to ensure passenger and staff safety.

Passengers will be denied the ability to board a train if they display symptoms similar to a cold or flu, or if they have been denied boarding for travel in the last 14 days due to COVID-19.

Furthermore, VIA Rail has extended its cancellation policy to include all travel through November 1, with reimbursements being offered.
