Prince George’s Exploration Place looking to trade donations for non-medical masks

Designed in Prince George and hand-sewn in Burnaby, the Exploration Place is selling non-medical masks as a fundraiser to support their “Animal Ambassadors” as well as the ongoing need for maintenance of the museum’s collection and archives.

“I’ve been wearing my initial sample mask for weeks and it is holding up well. I wash it every night with dish soap and hang it to dry,” said Tracy Calogheros, CEO.

“We have one that features Karma, our Chameleon, one with Tom our Herman’s Tortoise with his raspberry, illustrated by our own Lacey Crombie, and one featuring everyone’s favourite resident Mr. PG, over an historic map of the area,” she added.

For a donation of $25 to the Museum, patrons will receive the mask.

Three sizes are available, with small being well-suited for children, while medium and large options exist for adults.

Although the museum is closed for the immediate future, masks can be purchased via email by contacting [email protected]
