Despite rain delays, nighttime paving operations still underway in Prince George

Despite some rainy weather setbacks The City of Prince George is planning to move ahead with nighttime road paving operations.

Key intersections include:

  • George Street between 1st Avenue and 6th Avenue downtown
  • 3rd Avenue between Quebec Street and George Street
  • The intersection of Massey Drive and Westwood Drive
  • The intersection of O’Grady Road and Domano Boulevard
  • The intersection of 5th Avenue and Carney Street

Operations are taking place after 7 P.M. to minimize disruptions to both motorists and businesses.

Work is expected to be finished by early next week, and preparation work, including asphalt milling, has been completed at each location.

Additionally, crews will be starting today (Wednesday) on an operation to fix cracks and bumps on two city trails: the UNBC Connector trail (between Ospika and Tyner Boulevard) and at Cpl. Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park.

The full announcement can be read on the City’s website.
