Spruce Kings deal for size, depth on the back end

The Prince George Spruce Kings added to their blueline today (Thursday) acquiring 19-year-old Zach Gabruch from the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for forward Mason Reeves.

The Saskatoon product, spent last season with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

He finished with five points in 56 games played with the Silverbacks.

“Zach is a good addition for us. He’s a big and mobile d-man with a year of experience in our league”, said GM Mike Hawes.

“He will provide a lot of stability for us on the back end.”

Prior to joining the Silverbacks, Gabruch spent two seasons with the Saskatoon Blazers of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL).
