Prince George drug trafficking investigation leads to further charges

Three Prince George residents are facing further charges related to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

The PG RCMP’s Street Crew Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Kenwood Street on Sunday (August 9th).

According to RCMP, three people were found inside with a significant amount of fentanyl, cocaine and cash, along with a loaded handgun, shotgun and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

22 year old, Damiond Rain Sutherland, 40-year-old Angela Louise Hammerstrom and 29 year old Colin Michaud Durrand have all been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with Failing to Comply with a Release Order in relation to previous, yet separate incidents.

Durrand was also arrested for having multiple outstanding arrest warrants from nine separate incidences that occurred since July 2019.

Sutherland was held in custody and will appear in court later today (August 11th), Hammerstrom and Durrand will appear in court on August 18th.

Both Hammerstrom and Durrand are Priority Offenders for the Prince George RCMP as they both have a history of violence.
