A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the motorcycle he was riding ran into the back of a pick-up truck in Prince George.
According to the RCMP, it happened yesterday (Wednesday) just after 9:30 AM when they received a report of the collision near the bottom of Peden Hill.
Police say the truck was coming down the hill and had stopped for a red light when the crash occurred.
Cpl. Craig Douglass spoke with MyPGNow.com.
“Police did receive a number of calls from the public complaining about the rider who was involved in the collision and his driving previous to the crash and the motorcycle rider did receive a fine of $368.”
“When a motorcycle is involved in a collision, the chances are the motorcycle rider is going to get the worst end of the injuries. As riders out there, we need to ensure that we need to be aware of our surroundings more so than vehicles.”
He received a ticket for driving without due care and attention and received a $368 fine.
