–The Stars rallied from a one goal deficit twice in the third period to nip the Colorado Avalanche 5-4 in overtime. Rookie Joel Kiviranta completed a hat trick in Game 7 by scoring 7:24 into OT.
–In the NHL tonight (Saturday 4:30 PT): the Philadelphia Flyers battle the NY Islanders in their Game 7 with the winner to meet the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Final.
NBA:

MLB:
–The Toronto Blue Jays split a Friday doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox with each team winning by a run. The Jays took the opener 8-7 and the Red Sox came back with a 3-2 victory. They play again tonight (4:30 PT) in Boston.
