National search leads to new Two Rivers Gallery Executive Director

The Two Rivers Gallery Board of Directors national talent search has come to an end after finding their new Executive Director out East.

The gallery announced they have appointed Sara Knelman for the position.

Knelman holds a Ph.D. and MA from the Courtland Institute of Art and a BA from McGill University and has taught at a post-secondary level in numerous schools.

“We cannot wait for our community to meet Sara and we look forward to welcoming her to our team on October 5th,” said Board President Cori Ramsay.

Sara has worked as Director of Corkin Gallery in Toront0, Talks Programmer at The Photographers’ Gallery in London, UK and Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of Hamilton.

“There are many exciting adventures ahead, and I hope the communities we serve will join us as we engage the important ideas of our time through contemporary art, and offer a platform for diverse voices, perspectives and creative expression,” Knelman said.

In addition to her experience, she has also had her writing published in numerous books, exhibition catalogues and magazines.
