Month long challenge to change workplace eating habits

Northern Health has an initiative this month to get people thinking healthy.

“Eating 9 to 5” has been launched to create sustainable changes to people’s eating habits.

Populations Health Dietician Marianne Bloudoff says nutrition month will have a theme every week.

“To look at all the different eating opportunities in our workday, so our first week is going to be focusing on breakfast, then were going to go lunch, snacks and drinks we might have during the day” says Bloudoff, “and then sort of the workplace environment, so things like meetings or celebrations.”

Bloudoff says they will also offer tips and ideas on how to get through each week.

She says those interested in partaking in the challenge can head to www.blog.northernhealth.ca.
