CNC marks Mental Health Month

CNC is making sure staff and students are aware of supports, as part of Mental Health Month.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has placed extraordinary pressure on people,” said spokesperson Dustin Ruth in a release.

“The on-going uncertainty, precautions, and changes in our lives can be very difficult to manage on top of the day-to-day stresses that people face.”

All six campuses are providing counseling services, and wellness coaching services are available at the Prince George campus.

Here2Talk offers confidential support for students.

Northern Health also has a Mental Health and Substance Use Program.

BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services has provided a range of tips specific to COVID-19 mental health needs.

CNC staff members can also access the employee and family assistance program at Homewood Health.
