SD57 Superintendant, Anita Richardson has released a statement on the potential exposure.
“The district is working with Northern Health and the Medical Health Officer and are following their guidance,” she explained, “please be reassured that our schools will continue to implement the strict protocols and procedures we have in place so that children can continue to attend school as safely as possible.”

PGSS has been placed on the BC Centre for Disease Control’s list of potential COVID-19 exposure list.
The date of the potential exposure event is listed as October 2nd.
“This means that someone in the school community, whether that was a staff member or a student has recieved a positive result from a COVID-19 test,” explained spokesperson for Northern Health, Eryn Collins.
“They may have been in the school setting during their infectious period,” she explained.
The SD57 school is the first in Prince George to be placed on the list.
This potential exposure event is the 7th one listed from Northern Health.
