Canadian Home Builders Association elects new board of directors

The newly elected Board of Directors for the Canadian Home Builders’ Association Northern BC (CHBA-NBC) held its first meeting last Thursday.

The Canadian Home Builders’ is a membership-driven association existing at the national, provincial and regional level to advocate for the opportunity of homeownership for all Canadians as well as for contractors and businesses connected to the residential construction industry.

“Even during these times of Covid-19 construction as a whole has been considered an essential service by the province of BC,” said Executive Officer Terri McConnachie.

“It has been a challenging year but the permit numbers have been really impressive,” she said.

She adds Prince George building permits have been down slightly during the pandemic, but not by much.

Membership from around the region covered by the CHBA-NBC local are represented at the board table and the 2020-2021 Board of Directors include:
