Unifor Rail Members got the low-down on a contract offer from CN today.
Local 100 President Ken Hiatt says Prince George is one of 28 locations where ratification votes are taking place.
“So every location has its own ballot boxes and we go in there and we talk to them, and they vote yes or no” says Hiatt, “and it will probably be at least another week before we know the numbers.”
Hiatt says there are around 120 Unifor members in Prince George.
He is optimistic that the deal will get ratified by members.
Last month, CN and Unifor made an 11th hour deal to avoid a strike by workers.
