Now thanks to a local Facebook page called, ‘Prince George Bully Breed Lovers’, the community is coming together to help raise funds for the surgery in a number of ways.

“He ate something and he’s got a blockage in his stomach,” explained Tank’s owner, Shawn Harris, “It’s been in there for going on for a few days.”

“I thought he just had an upset stomach because he had a major surgery in the past and lost half his intestines,” noted Harris.

A post on the ‘Save Tank’ Facebook page, explained that Ospika Vet, where his surgery took place, is now accepting credit card donations by phone, or cash donations can be dropped off and deposited into the ‘Tank/Shawn Harris’ account.

A member of the ‘Prince George Bully Breed Lovers’ Facebook page has also started a raffle and is selling tickets for $20, all of the proceeds will help the single father-of-three pay for the vet bills.

The final cost of the surgery is unknown, however, Harris explains it will cost from $1,500 to $3,000.

Tank has been a member of the Harris family since he was a puppy and is described as, “more like a kid.”

“He was raised with my three kids and is one of the biggest babies you will ever meet,” said Harris, “he’s an 85-pound lapdog that thinks he’s a Chihuahua.”

For more information on how to help Tank and the Harris family, visit the ‘Save Tank’ Facebook page.
