PG RCMP urging drivers to use caution on the snowy roads

Slow down and drive to the conditions.

That’s from PG RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass as motorists navigate through the roads.

Police responded to three motor vehicle incidents before 8am this morning (Monday).

They include Bellamy Road and the Hart Highway, First Avenue, and Ospika as well as Ferry Avenue and Highway 97.

Douglass spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“People need to make sure they have the right equipment on their vehicle and that it is working properly, they need to drive to the conditions. Overnight, we had a significant amount of snow, therefore, you need to plan ahead, leave early because it’s going to take you twice as long to get to where you are going if you drive to the conditions.”

A high of plus five is being predicted for today (Monday) as the snow turns into rain.
