Street cleaning efforts kicking off earlier than usual

Street cleaning duties and pothole repairs have begun in Prince George.

Public Works associate Director Gina Layte-Liston says sweepers will come to certain areas depending on a day shift or night shift:

“So in a lot of cases the downtown is being done during our night shift, and then we go out to do commercial areas, our priority ones and two’s and then residential areas”

She says they are at least a month ahead of schedule, as this years sweeping efforts began back on Feburary the 23rd.

Also reminding the public that potholes can be reported via the city website.
