Prince George man arrested for Connaught Hill Park sexual assault

One man is in custody and set to appear in court today (Monday) after being arrested for sexual assault yesterday (Sunday).

37-year-old Ryan Kenneth McLane has been charged with one count each of sexual assault, assault by choking, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and theft of $5,000 or under.

In addition, he is also facing charges for two counts of possession of a weapon.

Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a sexual assault in Connaught Hill Park, off Patricia Boulevard.

The scene was secured and evidence was gathered, and an adult male suspect was found and arrested shortly after.

Mounties say the attack is not believed to be random, as McLane and the victim are known to eachother.
