Construction is currently underway at the Memorial Park Cemetery to expand the Mausoleum by more than half.
Crews are installing locally made pre-fabricated walls and trusses and regionally sourced timber-frame ceilings and glulam beams.
The Mausoleum expansion project was approved by Council in 2019 since the facility’s existing 423 niches are all occupied.
The expansion will add 900 new glass and marble front niches to meet current and future needs.
It is scheduled to be complete in spring 2021.
