Residents on Ridgeview Drive will have to sign a formal petition to get sanitary sewer hookups in the area.
At last night’s council meeting, councillors approved having staff facilitate a formal petition for residents.
Associate Director of Public Works Gina Layte Liston says Ridgeview is one specific area in Hart Highlands.
“So last year we had a number of roads done,” says Layte Liston, “including Wallace and Berwick and number of others, this will be the next set of roads, if the formal petition is approved.”
Layte Liston says they need 50% approval from residents to go ahead with local area service.
She says if they get the green light, they can begin construction later this year.
