HARTLEY’S HART ATTACK – (Merry Christmas!) Dec 25, 2020 EDITION 816

I am not sure if I have any words of wisdom on this Christmas day, but I want to extend a very “Merry Christmas”
and a happy, safe and prosperous New Year, from my family to yours.

Christmas has different meanings to people, and in general, I believe that the holiday season brings out the best in all of us.

Ideally, it would be terrific to have the festive spirit year-round.

2020 has been a year unlike any other.

Because of the pandemic, many families will be celebrating the season virtually.

While not ideal without close relatives nearby, there are many creative ways to enjoy today and be in touch with those we care about most.

As we do our best to value this time of year an opportunity presents itself to put differences aside and reflect on our fortunes, and not our desires or what we envy.

Generosity is the spirit of the season and indeed, one receives more satisfaction in giving than receiving.

2021 is just a week away, a year that should provide opportunity and hope.

Yes, getting life back to normal never sounded so good.

FROM THE QUOTE RACK:

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!

*Santa Claus and his helpers  (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolf)

2020 was actually a better year than usual for Santa Claus—-due to COVID-19, there weren’t that many Philadelphia Eagles fans around to boo him.

Speculation that Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, who played high school football in Georgia, has not been thrilled about the idea of playing in NY for the Jets. So does this mean Jets’ upset of the Rams, which gives Jaguars the temporary #1 pick, was an early present for Lawrence from Santa?

Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell the government what they want and their kids pay for it.
