RCMP catch a pair of thieves

Two people are facing a long list of charges related to a recent rash of thefts in the Prince George area.

Over the past three months, RCMP had a large spike in thefts of aftermarket vehicle gear and gasoline drilled out of gas tanks.

On March 2nd, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a set of tires and rims stolen off a truck parked in a driveway on Panarama Crescent.

The following day, RCMP found the stolen tires & rims on a pick-up parked on the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue in Prince George. The owner of the vehicle, a 17 year old Prince George man, was arrested for possession of stolen property and his vehicle was seized. Upon inspection, the vehicle was determined to have been stolen from a Prince George home on February 5th.

Police then obtained a search warrant for a residence on the 1700 block of PG Pulp Mill Road and arrested 25 year old Prince George resident Shane Parsons who police believe was also involved in the thefts.
